British MuseumHouses, assembly rooms, shopping malls and bridges help to make up our environment; architects, engineers and builders create them. Some of them withstand the test of time; others fail, occasionally in spectacular fashion.   We will examine the materials and products of our built environment, noting the work of significant personalities along the way.
