Glimpses of Mahler – Spring 2015

Gustav Mahler 1909Besides being a wonderful composer, and one of the greatest symphonists who ever lived, Gustav Mahler (1860-1911) was a fascinating character who lived at an interesting period. We will focus on a selection of pieces and set them in the context of his life and times. No musical knowledge is required.
